Inflammatory markers in arteries of obese mice. mRNA levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) α, interleukin- (IL-) 1β, IL-6, and IL-10, cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in small mesenteric arteries (a) and thoracic aorta (b) from control and obese mice. Expression levels of specific gene mRNA were normalized to the cyclophilin mRNA. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM. Unpaired t-test: versus control mice. –10.
