The panels (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e) represent the boxplot of AUC values estimated by eight methods (ANOVA, KW, SAM, LIMMA, EB, GAGA, BRIDGE, and proposed) for large-sample case at proportions of DE gene 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, and 0.1, respectively, in absence and presence of one outlier in each of 10%, 20%, and 50% genes. 100 simulations were performed to obtain these results.
