Different Densities of Na-Ca Exchange Current in T-Tubular and Surface Membranes and Their Impact on Cellular Activity in a Model of Rat Ventricular Cardiomyocyte

Table 2

Membrane capacitance and assessed in intact and detubulated cells by Gadeberg et al. [15], Thomas et al. [16], Despa et al. [17], and Yang et al. [18]. The numerical values of , , and related to the paper published by Gadeberg et al. [15] were kindly provided by Professor Clive Orchard from University of Bristol. The data represent average values ±SE and related number of cells (). The data denoted by asterisk represent current densities computed from ratios of average values of amplitudes ( pA,  pA) and membrane capacitances in intact and detubulated cells. The values of denoted by black-filled circles were quantified additionally [20].
