ADMA-induced apoptosis of EPCs. (a and b) The TUNEL assay was applied to determine the rate of ADMA-induced EPCs apoptosis. Apoptotic nuclei were visualized by green fluorescence. DAPI staining (blue) was used as a marker for the cell nucleus. Representative images and the quantitative graph showed that ADMA (5~50 μmol/L) induced EPCs apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner. (c and d) Representative western blots and quantification of cleaved caspase-3. The expression of cleaved caspase-3 induced by AMDA was dose-dependent (n = 3 per group). Mean ± SEM. versus control.
