Isolation and Abiotic Stress Resistance Analyses of a Catalase Gene from Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam

Figure 4

Expression patterns and enzyme activity assay of IbCAT2 in stress-treated sweet potato. Sweet potato plants were planted in the glasshouse under natural irradiance conditions for three months and then treated with 200 mmol/L NaCl (a) and 10% PEG6000 (b). Young leaves (YL), stems (ST), and expanding tuberous roots (ETR) with or without stress treatment were collected for expression analysis of IbCAT2. β-ACTIN was used as an internal control. The quantification results were calculated by method using the plant materials without stress treatment as control [33]. Total CAT enzyme activity assay of IbCAT2 (c) in stress-treated leaves of sweet potato.
