Lung MPO activity and levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in the lung tissue. The SSBE group had a lower lung MPO activity and levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in the lung tissue at 12 and 24 h time points as compared to the SAP group. No significant changes of lung MPO activity, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in lung tissue were found in the control group. ( SAP group versus control group; SSBE group versus SAP group.)
