Alteration of Mevalonate Pathway in Rat Splenic Lymphocytes: Possible Role in Cytokines Secretion Regulated by L-Theanine

Proteins expression of related genes involved in mevalonate pathway in rat splenic lymphocytes. The cells were treated with 6 μM concanavalin A (ConA), ConA, and different doses of L-theanine (LT) for 120 h; then the proteins expressions of Rap1A, HMGCR, and FDPs were assayed by Western blot. -Actin was used to confirm that equal cell equivalents were loaded. A representative Western blot for each treatment from three independent experiments is shown. Data were expressed as means ± SD . Means in the same shade not bearing a common letter differ .
