Efficacy of Second-Look Ultrasound with MR Coregistration for Evaluating Additional Enhancing Lesions of the Breast: Review of the Literature

<div>A 48-year-old woman with a previous left breast quadrantectomy (lower outer quadrant) for an invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC, pT1N0) underwent a MR follow-up 5 months after surgery that showed an additional enhancing lesion at the confluence of the inner quadrants near the nipple. Second-look ultrasound with MR coregistration confirmed the lesion which was biopsied by fine needle aspiration; the histological finding revealed an IDC.</div>
