Distinct Epitopes on CD13 Mediate Opposite Consequences for Cell Adhesion

Changes in intracellular Ca²⁺ ions induced by CD13-specific mAbs. U-937 cells were loaded with Fluo-3 AM and Fura Red. After washing, fluorescence of both indicators was continuously monitored by flow cytometry at 37°C. At the indicated times, cells were stimulated with the indicated antibodies (32.2, 452, C, or E) or a control IgG, and with fragments of goat anti-mouse Ig (GαM). As control, cells were stimulated with secondary antibody alone. Traces shown are representative of 3 independent experiments.
