Effect of amniotic membrane extract (AME) and chorionic membrane extract (CME) on apoptosis in human middle ear epithelial cells (HMEECs) following exposure to lead for 24 h: addition of 100 μg/mL AME or CME to cells treated with 600 μg/mL lead(II) acetate trihydrate decreased the number of apoptotic cells.
