Effect of amniotic membrane extract (AME) and chorionic membrane extract (CME) on reactive oxygen species (ROS) activity of human middle ear epithelial cells (HMEECs) following exposure to lead. As a positive control, 50 μg/mL tert-butyl hydrogen peroxide (TBHP) was used: administration of 100 and 200 μg/mL AME or CME significantly decreased ROS activity in HMEECs exposed to 100 μg/mL lead(II) acetate trihydrate.
