Long-Lasting Alterations in Gene Expression of Postsynaptic Density 95 and Inotropic Glutamatergic Receptor Subunit in the Mesocorticolimbic System of Rat Offspring Born to Morphine-Addicted Mothers

Figure 6

Summary of mRNA expression levels of the AMPAR subunit (GluR1, GluR2, GluR3, and GluR4) in PFC of rat offspring, as assessed on P14 and P30, respectively. The differential change of mRNA levels of the AMPAR subunit was noticed in rat offspring. It was worth noting that mRNA levels of GluR1 were decreased, but mRNA levels of GluR3 were increased in rat offspring in prenatal morphine exposure group, as compared to vehicle-control group. The mRNA level of GluR2 and GluR4 did not show significant difference. as compared with the vehicle-control group.
