Dexamethasone suppresses ATRA-induced MMP-2 secretion. Cells were pretreated with different concentrations of dexamethasone (Dex) as indicated above for 2 h and were followed by ATRA treatment for 48 h. The culture supernatants were collected, concentrated by filtration, and subjected to western blot analysis (a). Densitometric analysis of MMP-2 bands shown in (a) was performed by ChemiDoc MP System (b). Cells were pretreated with 1 or 10 μM dexamethasone for 2 h and were followed by ATRA treatment for 48 h.
