Bax is upregulated in chondrocytes from articular cartilage samples of OA patients. (a) Histological sections of articular cartilage samples of OA or control (NC) patients were immunostained using anti-Bax antibody. Representative images were shown, and the statistical analyses were calculated and shown in (b). (c) Cultured human chondrocytes from clinical samples were subjected to western blotting with anti-Bax, anti-PUMA, anti-Bcl-2, and anti-activated Caspase-3 antibodies. Tubulin was used as loading control.
