Morphological observation of SGNs in the cochlea. As lead exposure time was prolonged, the number of SGNs gradually decreased, cell filaments were broken, and some cells exhibited nuclear fragmentation and karyopyknosis and others apoptosis phenomena from 60 days forward (a).
