Telmisartan Attenuates Uric Acid-Induced Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition in Renal Tubular Cells

Telmisartan inhibited uric acid-induced EMT in NRK-52E cells via inhibiting the NADPH oxidase/ERK1/2/ET-1 pathway. Cells were treated by 600 mol/L UA with or without telmisartan (102 – 104 nmol/L) for 48 h. (a) Level of ROS was measured by DHE staining, Magnification, ×200.
