Copper (II) Ions Activate Ligand-Independent Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK) Signaling Pathway

Copper (II) ion stimulated the RTK-mediated signal pathway time-dependently. (a) The A549 cells were serum-starved and treated with 100 μM copper (II) for 0, 10, 20, and 30 min, respectively. The phosphorylation of MET, AKT, and ERK1/2 was examined using western blot analysis. The phosphorylation level of MET (b) and AKT (c) in each experiment was quantified and analyzed. Data are represented as mean ± S.D. of triplicate experiments (P<0.05, P<0.001).
