Application of Aluminum Oxide Nanoparticles in Aspergillus terreus Cultivations: Evaluating the Effects on Lovastatin Production and Fungal Morphology

Time courses of lovastatin (a), biomass (b), and lactose (c) concentration in shake flask cultures of Aspergillus terreus ATCC 20542 propagated with aluminum oxide (Al2O3) micro- and nanoparticles at the concentration of 6 and 12 g . Cultivations performed without aluminum oxide served as experimental controls. All experiments were conducted in triplicate. Error bars represent the standard deviation values.
