To calculate true tip-apex distance (TAD), curved multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) view was generated using axis lines (cross lines) in sagittal and coronal views as shown above, which shows whole lag screw and proximal nail. TAD was measured on this MPR view and the distance from lateral margin of proximal nail to lag screw tip was measured for assessment of lateral protrusion distance of lag screw (orange arrows: CaP around lag screw tip augmented through the screw tract).
