The effects of TROAP depletion or plasmid-based overexpression. (a) The transfection efficiency was verified by RT-PCR (P<0.01). (b) and (c) TROAP protein levels were higher in MCF-7 cells overexpressing TROAP than in control cells (P<0.001). (d) TROAP promoted MCF-7 cell proliferation. Cells were seeded in a 96-well plate at a density of 2 × 10³/well and analyzed after 24, 48, 72, or 96 hours. Cell viability and proliferation were determined by MTT assays. TROAP protein levels were lower in MCF-7 cells with TROAP depletion than in control cells (P<0.001).
