Pathways are ranked by percent compound found in each pathway, which was determined by dividing the number of hits by the total number of compounds in the pathway. The number of the expected compounds was determined by overrepresentation analysis in MetPA, which uses hypergeometric testing to calculate the number of compounds expected to be in each pathway by chance alone. Raw values were determined based on the number of hits and total number of compounds in the pathway. The pathway impact was found using relative betweenness centrality pathway topology analysis, which calculates metabolite importance based on their position in the pathways.
