Projection mapping (PM) system. (a) The direction of projection is adjusted to match that of the maximum intensity projection image by changing the arm position and head orientation of the PM system. In this system, the relationship between the position and orientation of the projector and the camera is fixed for triangulation. (b) Triangulation. When the relationship between the position and orientation of the camera and the projector is known, the depth of the object can be calculated from the position of the projected image and the position of the camera image. (c). Structured light method. Black and white multipatterns projected onto a certain period can be encoded. The spatial position () can be specified by the encoded numbers.
