Reducing Neuron Apoptosis in the Pontine Micturition Center by Nerve Root Transfer for Restoration of Micturition Function after Spinal Cord Injury

Pontine neurons in the three study groups, analyzed by H&E staining. At 1 week after surgery, the extracellular space around the neurons was slightly increased in Groups A and B, compared with that in Group C, and at 1 month after surgery, some neurons showed nuclear pyknosis in Groups A and B. Three months after surgery, accumulation of interstitial fibrous tissue was evident. Scale bar: 200 μm.
