Influence of inhibitors on proteolytic activity of LasB. The tested inhibitors (1 and 5 mM) were phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride (PMSF), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), ethylene glycol-bis(β-aminoethyl ether)-N,N,N,N-tetraacetic acid (EGTA), 1,10-phenanthroline, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid 382 (DTPA), and β-mercaptoethanol.
