Curcumin Inhibits Proliferation and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition in Lens Epithelial Cells through Multiple Pathways

<div>Curcumin inhibited the transcription of EMT-related genes induced by TGF-<i>β</i>2 in a dose-dependent manner. (a) Normalized mRNA levels of EMT-related genes (<i>fibronectin</i>, <i>collagen I</i>, <i>collagen IV</i>, etc.) in LECs treated with TGF-<i>β</i>2 (0, 5, and 10 ng/ml) for 24 h were detected by real-time PCR.
