Optimisation of External Factors for the Growth of Francisella novicida within Dictyostelium discoideum

The growth kinetics of F novicida in D. discoideum after exposure to different temperatures. The D. discoideum cells were infected with F. novicida at MOI 10. The infected cells were incubated at 22°C, 25°C, 27°C, 30°C, and 37°C. At 2, 4, 24, 48, and 72 h after infection, the cells were lysed and plated on BCYE agar to determine the number of intracellular bacteria. The experiments were performed in triplicate. The error bars represent standard deviations. .
