HMGN5 Silencing Suppresses Cell Biological Progression via AKT/MAPK Pathway in Human Glioblastoma Cells

Figure 2

HMGN5 regulates the proliferation capacity, cell cycle progression, and cell apoptosis of glioblastoma cells. (a) The application of HMGN5 siRNA significantly reduced the levels of HMGN5 protein and mRNA levels in U87 and U251 cells (; ). (b) CCK8 assay detected that HMGN5 knockdown reduced the proliferation rate in U87 and U251 cells. (c) Flow cytometry assays were performed to analyze the cell cycle progression when the U87 and U251 cells were transfected with HMGN5 siRNA or scramble sequences (; ). (d) The result of flow cytometry analysis detected that apoptosis was increased after HMGN5 was knocked down in U87 and U251 cells (; ). (e) JC-1 staining was used to determine . JC-1 is normally visualized as green when is reduced (; ).
