Genetic Mutation Analysis in Small Cell Lung Cancer by a Novel NGS-Based Targeted Resequencing Gene Panel and Relation with Clinical Features

Increased mutations to 6 genes are associated with higher serum levels of NSE and clinical stage of SCLC. Scatterplot (a) shows patients with increased mutations to the following 6 genes (WT1, NOTCH1, EPHA3, KDM6A, SETD2, ACVR1B) have significantly higher NSE levels (Spearman’s correlation test ) compared to those with ≤1 mutation to these 6 genes (). Boxplot (b) shows patients with increased mutations to these 6 genes also have a significantly higher clinical stages II + III compared to stage I (Wilcoxon rank sum test ).
