Synergic effect of ZER and 5-FU on mRNA level of vimentin in HCT-116 (a) and SW48 (b) cells. CRC cells were treated with ZER and 5-FU alone and together for 24, 48 h, and 72 h followed by total RNA extraction for reverse transcription to cDNA. The cDNAs were used to assess expression levels of selected genes by SYBR green-based real-time quantitative PCR. The fold changes were derived using the comparative method.
