The Polymethoxy Flavonoid Sudachitin Inhibits Interleukin-1β-Induced Inflammatory Mediator Production in Human Periodontal Ligament Cells

Effects of sudachitin on CXCL10, CCL2, IL-6, and IL-8 production in IL-1β-stimulated HPDLC. HPDLC were pretreated with sudachitin (6.25, 12.5, 25, or 50 μM) for 1 hour, before being stimulated with IL-1β (1 ng/ml). The supernatants were collected after 24 hours. The expression levels of CXCL10, CCL2, IL-6, and IL-8 in the supernatants were measured using ELISA. The results are shown as the mean and standard deviation (SD) of one representative experiment performed in triplicate. The error bars represent SD. significantly different from the result for the IL-1β-stimulated HPDLC that were not treated with sudachitin.
