RSV affects neuropeptide synthesis in BECs cells through the NODAL signaling pathway. (a) qRT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA levels of SP, CGRP, and VIP in BECs after RSV infection (). After interfering with the expression of NODAL prior to 48 h of RSV infection, the expression of these three neuropeptides was detected again. (b) Immunofluorescence was used to detect the protein levels of neuropeptide in BECs (magnification ×400). -test was used for comparison between two groups ( and vs. control; ## and ### vs. RSV+ siRNA-NC).
