Edible Vitalmelon Fruit Extract Inhibits Adipogenesis and Ameliorates High-Fat Diet-Induced Obesity

<div>Vitalmelon aqueous (VW) extract decreased the size of abdominal white adipocytes. Visceral abdominal white adipose tissue sections from each group were stained using hematoxylin and eosin. Images were obtained at 100x magnification. Mice received a normal diet (control), a high-fat diet (HFD), HFD+10 mg·kg<sup>-1</sup> body weight orlistat (HO10), HFD+1 mg·kg<sup>-1</sup> body weight VW extract (VW01), or HFD+25 mg·kg<sup>-1</sup> body weight VW extract (VW25).
