Novel Motor-Sparing Ultrasound-Guided Neural Injection in Severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: A Comparison of Four Injectates

Figure 5

The functional status scale (FSS) () between postinjection and baseline in four groups at each time point. Patients in the 5% dextrose water (D5W), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and hyaluronic acid (HA) groups have more significant improvement compared to those in NS groups at all measured time points. The progressive trend of improvement is except the 6th month in which D5W was mildly better than the PRP group. The intergroup differences reach significance (D5W vs. HA on the 1st and 6th months; PRP vs. HA on the 1st month). FSS: functional status scale; D5W: 5% dextrose water; PRP: platelet-rich plasma; HA: hyaluronic acid.
