Knock down of TCTP by siRNA sensitizes cells to oxidative stress. Knocking down the wild-type TCTP with siRNA (RNAiTCTP) before exposing the cells to H₂O₂ significantly reduced the viability of human granuloma cells. Cells transfected with lamin SiRNA (RNAiLamin) or nontransfected cells exposed to the same conditions (O_x-Ctrl) or cells without exposure to H₂O₂ (Utctrl) served as controls.
