Potential Properties of Plant Sprout Extracts on Amyloid β

Figure 5

Changes in the fluorescence of BSA+D-ribose treated with plant sprouts’ aqueous extracts (PSAE). BSA (final concentration 10 mg/mL) in the presence of D-ribose (final concentration 1 M) was kept at 37°C in Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.4). PSAE was mixed with samples of BSA+D-ribose for up to 24 h. The fluorescence intensity of glycation was recorded ( 360 nm; 465 nm). BSA (or LAB) and D-ribose were used as a control. Aliquots were taken for measurements of fluorescence spectra ( = 360 nm). Values are mean ± SD of the three measurements. and compared with the controls.
