Indicators related to apoptosis were changed in lymphocytes of septic rats. (a) The percentages of apoptotic lymphocytes in eight-paired NC rat group and SP rat group were determined by flow cytometry [t value = 16.387,  < 0.01]. ((b) and (c)) The relative expressions of caspase-3 and caspase-9 mRNA in eight-paired NC rat group and SP rat group were determined by real-time quantitative PCR [t value (caspase-3) = 26.246,  < 0.01; t value (caspase-9) = 18.489,  < 0.01].
