Average animate and inanimate ERPs across subjects (thick lines, and with standard errors around the mean) and for each subject (thin lines). ERP analysis was performed on the occipital/parietal channels O1, O2, Oz, PO3, and PO4. The horizontal black lines indicate where the time samples are significant (paired t-test corrected for multiple comparisons, time samples). Scalp maps are displayed for the animate/inanimate ERPs and difference thereof at 310 ms.
