The blue marks are the united place cells generated in the sampling region of genetic algorithm; the red marks are the united place cells generated in the space that does not belong to the sampling region of genetic algorithm. (b) The place cell density in the firing field of each visual place cell which is not in the sampling region of genetic algorithm. There are a total of 399 visual place cells. The blue solid line indicates the density after category learning; the red solid line indicates the density before category learning.
