Distinct Patterns of Host Adherence by Neisseria gonorrhoeae Isolated from Experimental Gonorrhea

Serum resistance levels of the input and reisolated strains were assayed at different concentrations of the NHS. Bacterial suspensions were allowed to coincubate with the NHS for 60 min, and control assays were performed identically with heat-inactivated serum (56°C for 30 min). The serum resistance of the input strain and reisolates were assayed for their resistance levels at different concentrations of NHS (10% for (a); 5%–75% for (b)). All of the experiments were performed in triplicate. .
