The N-label is defined by stage (first) and region (second) according to the IASLC lymph node map [35]. The M-label is defined by M stage and metastasis location. Additional findings that are non-NSCLC-related: T_benign referred to a benign lesion, T_other is another primary tumor, N_inflammation is an inflammatory/reactive lymph node, N_other is a nodal metastasis from another primary tumor.
