Effect of storage time on muscle tissue staining result. The linear attenuation coefficients (μ) of the digital flexors and the biceps brachii in the forelimb for the short and long storage time groups at staining steps I (first staining with 0.3%) and II (restained with 0.6%) are shown; biceps brachii was not measureable in step I because the stain had not penetrated deep enough; no difference in the staining was observed after step I in the digital felxor. However, significantly lower μ values in both the digital flexors () and the biceps brachii () were observed after step II; .
