The plot shows that 5-6 tracks of 20–30 measurements give an optimal reading of hypoxia. (b) The percentage of total variance due to the variance between two methods of hypoxia estimation for three different electrode measurements approaches (analysis of eight samples). This shows that radial sampling is less accurate than uniform and random sampling.
