Example to obtain 1000 uniformly distributed points on the unit sphere by the iterative procedure of Algorithm 1. Here, we set the term in (3). We randomly choose 1000 vertices of a 4-time iteratively refined icosahedron mesh as initial points ( ). Particles’ positions are given after the 1st ( ) and 5th ( ) iterations are finished. The final result is shown at last.
