Example to obtain 1000 uniformly distributed points on the unit sphere by the iterative procedure of Algorithm 1. Here, we set the term 𝜔(𝐱_𝑖,𝐱_𝑗)=1 in (3). We randomly choose 1000 vertices of a 4-time iteratively refined icosahedron mesh as initial points (𝑡=0). Particles’ positions are given after the 1st (𝑡=1) and 5th (𝑡=5) iterations are finished. The final result is shown at last.
