Advances in dentistry can help to improve the quality care dentistry. Advances can be in the form of materials, equipment, or techniques. The field of endodontics has embraced technological advancements and changes in thought processes regarding root canal therapy. Several developments in endodontics have allowed for successful endodontic practice and simplified the canal location. Analog and digital imaging modalities are available for use in diagnostic endodontic imaging. Artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry will transform the way dentists work and patients receive treatment, especially with the introduction of robo-dentists. Such smart algorithms can be integrated within healthcare.
Robots are now able to perform minimally invasive dental work, like filling cavities, tooth cleaning, cap applications, and tooth extraction. In dentistry, robotics can enhance accuracy, precision, workflow, and even results for patients. Lasers help in painless dental practice, root canal disinfection, and dental surgery. Artificial intelligence helps to reduce the time. Today’s endodontic therapy is driven by advances in technology. Innovations in rotary endodontics, instrumentation, obturation, visualization, and surgical techniques are enabling clinicians to provide better long-term prognoses for their patients’ teeth after endodontic treatment. With the development of nickel-titanium for endodontic files,3 rotary nickel-titanium files have provided dentists with a more consistent, efficient, and effective means of performing endodontic treatment.
