Cardiovascular System Modeling

Description

Mathematical models and numerical simulations of cardiovascular system is very useful for understanding the mechanism of cardiovascular system and its physiological and pathological processes, hence open the possibility of developing new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques or devices for cardiovascular diseases.

The main focus of this special issue will be on the new computational and mathematical methods in cardiovascular system modeling. The special issue will become an international forum for researchers to summarize the most recent developments and ideas in the field, with a special emphasis on the following research topics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cellular or subcellular cardiac cell modeling
  • Cardiac anatomical structure modeling
  • Cardiac electrophysiology modeling and simulation
  • Cardiac mechanics modeling and analysis
  • Atrial/ventricular fibrillation simulation
  • Heart failure modeling and simulation
  • GPU-based cardiac computational technology
  • Modeling and simulation of the vascular system
  • Vascular mechanics
  • Cardiac electromechanical feedback mechanisms
  • Cardiac resynchronization therapy modeling
  • Computational methods in cardiovascular imaging

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/cmmm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:

We have begun to integrate the 200+ Hindawi journals into Wiley’s journal portfolio. You can find out more about how this benefits our journal communities on our FAQ.
