Bias of the estimation for a tissue with (a) boxcar lineshape , and (b) an alveolar surface lineshape . Both SSFP signals are fitted by the simplified Lorentzian lineshape model. Assumed parameters were °, , for the boxcar model and °, , for the alveolar surface model, respectively. The relaxation time of the boxcar lineshape depends on the width as given in Equation (C.4) and the relaxation time for the alveolar surface model is determined by the frequency offset (see Equation (C.7)). The figure is shown for constant phases of the rf pulses.
