An Unintended Effect of Financing the University Education of the Most Brilliant and Poorest Colombian Students: The Case of the Intervention of the Ser Pilo Paga Program

Based on the estimation of from Figure 5 we constructed the following. (a) The temporal evolution of the performance in the examination scores based on (1) for the SISBEN students from the three areas for the examination years from 2014 to 2017. (b) Evolution in time of the improvement of the SISBEN students from the three areas in the examination scores based on (3). These figures suggest that the SISBEN students from areas 2 and 3 seized the opportunity and improved their performance for the year 2017.
