Process to establish the alleles of each gene. (a) A set of 93 images of faces is analysed. (b) Individual images of the facial features of each face are automatically extracted. (c) Eigenfaces are used to characterize each facial feature by its global appearance. (d) The facial features are grouped by appearance using their eigenvalues. (e) The features closest to the centre of their clusters will be used as alleles of the corresponding gene in the chromosomes of the faces.
