Information Spreading on Weighted Multiplex Social Network
Effect of degree distribution heterogeneity on the final adoption size versus β on the ER-SF weighted multiplex network with different degree distribution exponents . Subgraphs (a) (), (b) (), and (c) () illustrate the growth patterns of versus β under different weight distribution exponents (,), (,), and (,), respectively. From subgraphs (a)–(c), increasing the degree distribution exponent does not alter the fact that reducing the weight distribution heterogeneity (increasing the weight distribution exponent) can facilitate the spread of social behavior.
