(A) The tumor was composed of well-differentiated adenocarcinoma (a) with poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma (b) and H&E staining at low power. (B) Immunohistochemistry showed that synaptophysin was partially positive in the adenocarcinoma component (a) and positive in the NEC component (b) at low power.
